Galway Comedy Festival
Welcome to the fifth annual Galway Comedy Festival. From the 21st-25th October, the Festival will entertain you to some of the most magical, hysterical and outright funny folk on the planet, all for your enjoyment. There's a whole range of styles to suit every taste, and you will not be disappointed. Look out for surprise gigs not listed that will pop up here, there and everywhere over the weekend, and whatever else you do, remember, its only a joke! Highlights include an Irish premiere appearance by Greg Proops, star of 'Who's line is it Anyway?' who will be flying in from the west coast of the Us for one performance only at the Town Hall Theatre on Friday, 23rd October. The Comedy Festival also welcomes cult icon and true poet laureate John Cooper Clarke who's performance evoke the wildfire rhythms of rock'n'roll. This will take place at the Roisin Dubh on Saturday, 24th October, at 22.00. Eddit Brill will host Ca super show at The Black Box on Saturday, 24th October, at 20.00, and will be appearing as a celebrity judge in our Stand Up Competition. Steward Lee will be at The Town Hall Theatre on Sunday, 25th October. A co-writer to the critically-acclaimed 'Gerry Springer The Opera', this provocative show is the follow up to his award-winning UK tour '41st Best Stand Up Ever'.
