Mohill Arts & Storytelling Festival is now recognised as one of the primary cultural events in the North-West and has attraced visitors to the area from all over Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK.

Storytelling has existed for centuries as a traditional form of entertainment in Ireland. County Leitrim has a particularly rich legacy of written and oral folklore and has produced some of the country's finest singers, writers, storytellers and poets.
